Hike up to Avalanche Lake above Horsetail Falls

Flume Trail in Lake Tahoe

          Living in the Lake Tahoe area for the last eighteen years and never exploring the Flume trail really disappoints me. Fortunately, today a friend and I finally got the chance to explore this amazing trail. Okay let’s get down to it. So we began out journey at the Spooner lake trailhead and continued along the 4-mile trail to Marlette Lake; however, I am pretty sure the last mile of the climb is a 20% grade. After sweating out maybe five pounds, Marlette Lake finally presents itself. A short snack break took place to celebrate the conquering of the horrible journey up to this point, and then we were off. The last ten or so miles are fairly easy as they are mostly flat or downhill single track. We ended our journey with some smoothies at the Tunnel Creek Cafe, which resides at the end of the trail in Incline Village.

Hmmm...well I guess I should update this thing more often. Everything has been pretty much the same, just busy with school considering this is my last semester (hooray). So I'll be trying my best to update this frequently as I will have some extra free time soon. Anyways yesterday some friends and I decided to go float the Truckee river since it has been so freaking hot lately.

     Thats right only one more week until my spring semester begins, which i'm pretty excited for.  Anyways i went to go pickup my school books today and i was kinda confused at first when i was handed this..

This...is my $120 math book?  Its a 2 page  pamphlet with an access code on it so i can read my book online and do homework also.  Bullshit!

I shot the sunset with my Go Pro hero camera The weather around Lake Tahoe has been beautiful lately.  Even though it's the beginning of January and there is supposed to be at least a couple feet of snow; i am not complaining though.

Ready for winter break

Just got done with my last final! what a relief.  Now i get to spend the next 3 weeks not worrying about any homework, and snowboarding all the time; if we ever get any snow.

Winter has begun

Oh wow i haven't been on here for a long time.  I guess thats what happens when you get caught up in life, and are extremely busy with school.  Speaking of school; i only have 3 weeks left until the semester is over and i can focus on snowboarding for the month of winter break.  Well lets see whats been going on with me lately, i had all 4 wisdom teeth pulled about 3 weeks ago, i bought a new Subaru Wrx, and i got a raise at work, so everything is finally starting to look up.   Here are some pictures of the events that have been unfolding these last couple weeks.

Enjoying my last night as a 23 year old in style.  I got to celebrate this amazing night with my best  friends; i couldn't have asked for a better night.

Some pictures of Lake tahoe which is about 20 minutes away.  This place is extremely beautiful, there is always something to around here no matter if its in the summer or winter.  This is a place we like to go to since it has a bunch of rocks to jump of off, and you can bring dogs.  It is right up the road from Sand Harbor
